Horsepower for the Coyote engine jumps from a healthy 412 horsepower to an even 420 horsepower and torque specs reach 390 lbs at 4,250 rpm, using breathing lessons learned from the Boss 302. The epic 5.0 liter Ford Coyote V8 is the engine of choice. The good news is that under the hood things stay pretty much the same. Other optional package updates for 2014 include offering the Brembo Brake Package on both manual and automatic transmissions on Mustang GT. The package includes everything in the current Brembo Brake Package, with 14-inch vented front discs, unique 19-inch alloy wheels and summer performance tires. Available only on manual GT Mustangs with a 3.73 axle, the package gives track enthusiasts an engine cooler, upgraded radiator, performance friction brake pads and the same Torsen differential was on the 2013 Mustang Boss 302. The GT Track Package was also back for the 2014 model year and thank goodness because it was our favorite option on the GT. Also back on the GT were optional leather-trimmed or cloth Recaro® seats. The 19-inch optional GT wheel comes with a gloss-black finish with machined face for a more sinister look. The standard 18-inch painted aluminum wheel on both GT and premium GT was the five-spoke design. There were a couple of new paint colors (Oxford White and Ruby Red Metallic), trim and wheel revisions and thats about it. We loved the 2013 Mustang GT‘s more aggressive front and rear styling so seeing it stay the same for 2014 was totally fine by us. The basic formula of the 5.0 has stayed the same for 2014. The 2014 Mustang GT kept the crisper silhouette and updates from the 2013 model year and was unchanged for 2014. 2014 Ford Mustang GT The 5.0 GT formula has stayed the same for 2014
